Tracks seeming to disappear under the ground level

As you can see in the attached screenshots, the track appear above and below ground level in places. I have used the smooth spline height tool but it doesn't change the appearance. Any suggestions?

This is caused by the PBR textures. There are two ways to fix this. One is to repaint the area and smooth out the textures if you want to go that route.

The other quicker and to the point method is to turn down your graphics settings in the performance settings found in the Trainz settings on the Launcher. Set your Texture detail to Normal instead of High. You will be prompted to restart the program after you adjust the graphics settings.
 
N3V thought it was a good idea to update a lot of older built-in textures to PBR which unfortunately has ruined a lot of older routes.
