New TrainsPlus beta 118660 and new "Renderer" setting in General Settings.

TrainsPlus beta 118660 has a new "Renderer" selector on the "General" Settings panel. For me, only option here is DirectX 11. "Renderer" option is not in TRS22 retail version (117655).

Could someone please explain the new Renderer option?

I'm having some never before experienced audio issues in the TrainsPlus version. Could this be related?

N3V in an earlier post (or was it a newsletter?) did announce that the process of adding DirectX 12 (with support for ray tracing) was underway, but not yet ready for beta testing. This could be part of that transition.
