Get rid of the stupid grass when making a new route?

I don't know why Trainz oped to do this, but what is going on with "grass" filling in the new layout blocks?

1 Can I get rid of it w/in the settings?

2 If I can't what is the dot to set the scale on so the lines are where they should be when I paint it grey?

There are some new regions available on the DLS that replace the built-in ones that have the grid instead of the grass.

In TrainzPlus and TRS22 you have.a menu option to turn the grass texture off.
