Thread: Not seeing some images in threads.

Default Not seeing some images in threads.

    G'day All,

I've noticed in the past few days that I'm starting to see posts that seem like they should obviously have images in them, but I can't see them.

My settings haven't changed, so the forum should display them, and I can still see images just fine in other post, often in the same threads.

    Has anything been changed recently?

    Cheers,
    Piere.

It could be images themselves that are the problem. For example - a new poster not knowing how to post images such as trying to copy and paste them directly from their hard drive into the forum post, or the image format not being recognised because they are not in the correct format. Is it the same poster or posters who are showing the problem?

    Thanks for the reply Pware.

The issue is with regular forum posters who's images, until recently, I have been able to see just fine. For example, Smyers today.

I haven't looked into whether it's all posts from the particular people, or just random yet (although Smyers did kindly try to send me the image [or it's link] in a PM, and I still can't see it).

    Cheers,
    Piere.

Actually, an update, it's my browser. I usually use Avast, but when I just opened the same thread in Edge, it displays the images ok.

So something in Avast must have changed recently. Now I'll have to try and work out what.

    Cheers,
    Piere.

Sometimes if they are posting via links to third party sites, some browsers may not link to the third-party sites automatically. Some require https rather than http, for example.
