This is really, really interesting and gives a totally different perspective for switching and the difficulties with the original Janny couplers. The modern AAR couples, while based on that design are made differently and are more reliable. The passenger cars are stored at the roundhouse and are being moved and turned on an Armstrong turntable. The cars are switched and then coupled to the locomotive using a small Plymouth switcher.
