drive to or navigate to

I'm sure I used to be able to use these in driver in earlier versions. Perhaps I'm confused with what a session is and yes I know I can go into driver whatevers in surveyor and set things up but it would be nice just to be able to tell a train to navigate to a station etc.

Suggestions please.

Thanks John

And you still can use them in the latest versions.

I prefer to use the "Drive To" and "Drive Via" commands because they will not seek an alternative (and sometimes ridiculous) path, like the "Navigate To" and "Navigate Via" commands will often do, if their assigned route is blocked.

There is a Trainz Wiki page that deals with all the intricacies of Routes, Sessions and Session Games. It can be found at https://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php/Route_and_Session_Basics

Information on using the "Drive" and "Navigate" commands with Trackmarks can be found at https://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php/How_to_Use_Track_Markers

And using the Session editor at https://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php/How_to_Use_Session_Editor

Me too. Most of my routes are circular, and often even the slightest delay would cause one of my trains to zoom the long way round, and most of my routes are pretty long!
So the first thing I do with a new system, whether trs19 or trs22, is to edit the Driver Rules and add Drive To, and Drive Vis.

I seem to recall I could click on the loco then add the drive to command. Playing around in TS2022 with a loco that has a list of commands set up in surveyor I note that the interface now is quite different. Where I would expect to see the list of commands there seems to be a indicator of how far it needs to travel and a sort of double arrow pointing downwards about two thirds across the screen which if clicked on shows where the loco is going to etc and seems ta allow more commands to be added.

What I can't see at the moment is where to input the commands. I have added them to the list of commands available. I have been through the wiki. There are times when I hate new and improved interfaces.

Where can I find this in driver?

Thoughts?

Thanks John
