I could be incorrect here, but this happens to me on my Travel Computer which does not have a very strong GPU, but I think when you see this, it is your Graphics Card and or the CPU not able to keep up with intense Graphic Math calculations when Trainz displays this behavior. And Trainz with all the rendering of Objects in motion, rather than Static is an intense Graphics Program.

Should also note, Graphics Cards in Laptops if you have one, are hard soldered to the Computer Board, so they cannot be updated like a Desktop Computer, also, lots of Laptops have integrated Graphics shared with CPU not dedicated which bodes badly for Trainz and other highly Graphic intense Computer Games.

From my standpoint and experience when you play certain Graphical Games on Laptops it is huge loss for Game Experience when using a Shared GPU setup.
