West From Denver Missing Dependencies

Downloaded West from Denver to my 2022 beta test build 115985.

The following kuid missing with Unknown Location - <kuid:565249:100506> Prod Passengers 2019.

This effects the following kuids as missing dependencies;

<kuid2:450495:100002:6> 01 Winter Park Express - Westbound (Morning)
<kuid2:450495:100004:6> 02 Winter Park Express - Eastbound (Evening)
<kuid2:565249:100992:1> Amtrak Superliner I Coach Baggage
<kuid2:565249:100993:1> Amtrak Superliner II Coach

I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still have the error.

Any ideas where this kuid might be hiding :)

It's a known issue and has something to do with the passengers being missing.

<kuid:565249:100506> Prod Passengers 2019

<kuid:565249:100506> Prod Passengers 2019

Sorry you went through the trouble of reinstalling for naught.

If you add the kuid to the obsolete table of this asset
<kuid:-25:1487> Prod Passengers 2020 (built-in)
You will be able to use these passengers instead.

Hi,

Just editied the obsolete table of <kuid-25:1847> to add the <kuid:565249:100506> Prod Passengers 2019 to the list.

The result is a heap of errors in the Prod Passengers 2020.
VE83 basically file nnnn.lm is provided in lm format despite havingno attachment points and no animation
Repeat lots of times
VE65 the *.texture.txt file is missing for texture resource "name.texture"
Lots of times.

Am I using the edit incorrectly?

Colin

Sorry, add it to this kuid. It is all working fine on my 2022 version with no errors shown.

Must be something I've done!

I downloaded the kuid:447125:110, then edited its config txt to include "0 <kuid:447125:100506>"

This still shows that the 2 carriages (the superliner coach & superliner baggage car) are faulty because they are looking for the kuid:447125:100506

looks like i need to edit the coaches instead....

Why don't they fix it? Why should we have to do all this work to make a PACKAGED, PAYWARE route and session to work. You would think they would update it as soon as everyone started to have the same problem.

Hi,

1) TS 22 is still a Beta version -
2) This route is not an N3V creation

Given that the main program and built-in assets are likely to change (normal Beta process), the route creator has to keep updating the route (or its assets) if any of the dependencies change. Then they have to be uploaded to the DLS or sent to N3V for the package to be created.

At this stage in development, record the bug, see if there's an easy fix - if not then look at the next route/session.

Cheers,

Colin

You have entered the wrong kuid. All you need do is add the line in the obsolete table

kuid <kuid:447125:110>

Just an observation, when did the ability to obsolete another user's asset get restored. That was flagged as an error for at least TS12. You were limited to only obsoleting your own assets.

Never had TS12 but have always been able to obsolete an asset. Have used it many times to update an unknown asset to one that is available. Once I have opened the route with the replacement I do a save. This stores the new kuid and removes the unknown one from the config. Once saved I revert the new asset back to the original. You don't need to obsolete your own asset as you just increase the version number.

Here is the fastest way to fix this problem. Create a new folder on desktop and call it new asset. In Trainz open <kuid:447125:110> for edit and copy all of the entries in the folder over to the new folder. Revert to original <kuid:447125:110>. In new folder open config file and change the kuid number from <kuid:447125:110> to <kuid:565249:100506>. In content manager import folder new asset. The 2 session are ok and will work with the train back on the tracks.

A belated thanks for the work-around.

The route is very scenic, but I'm a bit confused ...
The train is called an "express" - but long sections of the track are 30mph limit. Even out local trains have a speed limits of 60+mph on most of the track. The Intercity express trains are 100+mph.

Express means it makes no stops along the way. It has nothing to do with speed.
