Trainz and viruses

There haven't been any reports of anything amiss here other than some older websites getting hacked on occasion and the content-creator has gone in and taken care of things. Like anything associated with the web these days, you need to take precautions and ensure your antimalware and firewall are up to date and use the recommended safe browsing habits.

If you are really concerned, you can setup a virtual machine and browse from within there and then copy your content over.

Thanks for the advice!

I haven't seen an actual virus, but some third-party downloads can be a bit dodgy, with things popping up and wanting you to click on them, or download buttons that are for things other than the item you are trying to download, or pop-ups that try to take things over. MediaFire is better than it used to be, but still pops up some questionable windows, including a phony Captcha that wants you to click to continue.
