Will Trainz Railroad Simulator 2022 be released in Steam?

I have been thinking for a while, and i would like to ask.
Will Trainz 2022 be released in steam? I really want to know.
(Btw I'm new in the forums so please forgive me if i said something stupid.)

TRS19, the current non-beta version, is available in Steam so I would expect that TRS22 will also be available in Steam but you may have to wait "a bit" as the Steam version is slightly different from the N3V sold release (but not different in the way it works).

And it was not a stupid question - I normally specialise in those so I speak from experience.:)

While Steam has the ability to have beta versions available for testing N3V is hesitant to use that feature of the Steam Client. Once the retail version is available from N3V it should be available on Steam very quickly. I have both Steam versions and retail version of TANE and TRS19 happily co-existing on my PC.

The current plan is to release on Steam mid-January once the build is more polished. Subject to feedback from our current beta testers and our progress to resolve any issues found.

I can totally understand. The Steam audience can be brutal in their reviews of early access products. Of course, Valve's refund policy may be responsible for that too. Buy a rival product so you can write a nasty review and then get a refund the same day.

Yep, the trolls on Steam...
I often wonder do they even try the game before leaving a review or do they just buy the game, launch it for 5 minutes and then leave a review without even proceeding past the launcher? Who knows. Another thing that I think of they don't even bother looking at the system requirements for the game and they try playing it on a computer that was good for TS12 and older but not for TANE and newer. Again who knows. (shrugs)

Cheers

Agree.

Oh gosh, the Steam forum sure has been really vindictive and toxic at times.

I only go there occasionally now, but I remember a while back trying to lift the tone/atmosphere with positive comments amongst the horrible comments and basically got "you get paid by the devs", or "are you one of the staff" and would be called "fanboy" even though my Steam username blatently showed I was female. "Fanboy" is such a gross name call. Anyway I got owned (pummeled) sometimes but hey that's the way it is, gotta take the good with the bad and some folk just do not want to meet half way at all and see the otherside even for a moment.

Isn't the internet a wonderful thing at times (some sarcasm here).
