Vintage GE Locomotives Preserved

That's nice to read.

I saw the M&NJ in operation back in the mid-1980s when I visited my aunt and uncle who lived in Middletown. As we drove into town, we crossed the old Slater's Mill branch, a stub of the old former O&W, and had to wait for them to cross.

Awesome! I love those 50-tonners. Me and my family used to go to a restaurant that had a miniscule layout in the front counter protected by glass on all sides. You could push a button to run a little 50-tonner that went light-engine around a mountain layout with the standard tiny-layout decorations; a mountain, a tunnel, a bridge and a river. There were two other tracks on lower levels with two other engines that never moved (they didn't have a button). The restaurant had other train-themed stuff like really old Lionels. Maybe I should go back...
