Looking for rock breakwater/rip rap/jetty spline.

I'm wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a spline similar to this. I've been making content in Blender for years but not sure my skills are up to the challenge. I can't find anything on the DLS and PBR textures don't cut it. Thanks!

Mayby in this direction?

The Tb embankment splines from the DLS, with another texture and double track wide? Or you use the clutter effect of TRS19, the stones with a small distance to each other that you cannot see that they are floating on the steep ground. I thought about how I can revise the Sandusky dam line

This is actually a screeshot of the Sandusky bay. I use the embankment splines already, looking for something with chunkier, larger rocks and fill. Months ago I saw a screenshot from someone I can't remember which had exactly what I need but it wasn't "released" yet. People can be so odd with content. Maybe I'll learn how to sculpt rock in Blender.

Not sure if it's what you're after but, how about this?

Cheers,

There's this gentleman Zorronov who was building the NYC Water Level Route a few years ago with many sections very similar to what's shown in your google maps. Due to its size it's easier to just use shaped terrain and paint it with a chunky rock texture, which is what he did to great results.

Funny you mention Rip Rap, I put some in place yesterday (see screenshot). This is not a spline. It is created using the Kuid MudstoneRocks c-m <kuid2:33404:120713:3>. Just simply pack a heap close to each other, then use the cut &paste function to place them on any slope. Because you have packed the assets tightly they do not suffer with the floating syndrome. I have overpainted them with Riverstone2 <kuid2:23127:21006:1>. I hope this helps.

Bob

I edited one of the mesh libraries for a TB Embankment.

Found a good set of large jumbled rock textures, remade the base texture and generated a mid intensity normal in ShaderMap 4.

Results are pretty good I think, but a PBR version would give alot better definition to the rock than just the normal.

That looks pretty good. I decided to give it a go in Blender using the sculpt tool. Results aren't bad aside from the repetition of spline textures. I was also limited by the size of the seamless texture I used...Best I could find on textures.com.

tmz06003 made a lot of rolling stock for a "Holyhead Breakwater" project. I wonder if he actually did the breakwater itself. Be right back...................

Yes - search for "Holyhead" on the Download Station and tmz06003's route from 2013 is there. If you download the route, you should get the DLS content he used including the breakwater spline.
