T:ANE on Rosetta 2

Hi everyone,

By summer 2022, I’m planning on buying a new laptop. I’m unable to just get it right now (which sucks, because my storage problem has returned in full force - I may not even be able to upgrade to macOS Monterey… which means deleting some stuff from Trainz… “yay”) since I’m still pretty young. With my new laptop, there’s a good chance I’ll finally buy TS19 Platinum (I’ve waited this long, might as well treat myself) since I’m planning on getting the rumored M1X MacBook Pro next year (don’t know what size yet though). However…

I’m still planning on using TANE, for stuff like making routes & sessions, or driving on the ECML (might just buy those old routes, however… I’ll see what happens then). I know that, since SP5 is incredibly, incredibly unlikely, I’ll have to run it through Rosetta. However, I do remember in an older thread that Tony Hilliam did say that TS19 ran terribly on Rosetta, so I’m thinking it will be the same for TANE. If there are any M1 Mac users who still have a copy of TANE (preferably SP4) on their new machines and still have Rosetta, I’d like to know how it performs. (If you deleted it, no worries.)

Thanks,
