Updating a TRS2004 loco to TRS2012

Greetings,
I recently installed bdaneal's Uintah tank engine at http://www.steammachine.com/bdaneal/ngdl.htm into TRS2012, and it seems comically overpowered. Does anybody with experience in editing engine specifications know what is broken with this locomotive and how I can fix it to run realistically in TRS2012?

-Make a backup of the original enginefile (so you can always go back)
-Open the config of the engine file
-go to the motor { section
and check these values
maxspeed (its in m/s)
max-accel (how fast it accelerates)
max-decel (how fast it brakes)


these values combined with the weight of the traincar do most in DCC and under AI


if you use cab mode, check the sections "throttle-power" and "dynamic-brake"

Try KUID2:243294:100249:1 e-spec for Uintah 2-6-6-2T tank engine. Or is it the 0-6-2 tank engine you have trouble with?
