Model Detail

Hi There-

On one of my models I noticed something interesting (shown below. Sorry for the photobucket watermark)
when I zoom out a bit from the tender, a lot of white pixelated dots just show up on the model and they can be a bit annoying from a distance. Is this an Issue with the LOD, or is it something else. If so, what can i do to fix it?

Is it because my graphics settings are low? I fiddled around with the LOD of the model and that didn't seem to do anything. If anyone has any help that would be greatly appreciated
