The ground path under the Track is too wide

Hello !
Sorry, my english is not very good, I'me from France !
Using TRS19 Platinium edition, I'm building a mountain Route with a single metric Track.
When I use the "Smooth spline' tool, this give me a ground path under my Track, that is OK !
But this ground path is more than 10 meters wide, even 15 meters wide !
This is certainly OK for a standard double track.
But it is absolutly too wide for a single metric track in a moutain area !
A 5 meters ground path wide will be enough for my single metric track !

Is it possible to choose the wide of the ground path under the Track ?
It will be interesting to have this choice in a parameters section ...
This will avoid me to manually correct the path along my 50 kilometers track !

Thanks you for your help !
Philippe

Make a backup of your route first.

Under Topology 'F1' click near bottom and choose '5m' with the 'Set ground grid resolution' dropdown. Then click on the baseboard where the track is affected. Accept the warning, now try smoothing the track it should be less wide. Also clicking on the area more than once will slightly widen the area, in your case I would click only once.

If you examine the grid, you will see that the minimum trackbed width that can be realized through topology is twice the 5m or 10m setting. This is only realizable when the track is parallel to a grid line. With the track at 45 degrees, the minimum will be 2.8 times .

Hello ! Thanks for your answers !
I've made a test baseboard ... look my picture.
I've made a "cake" mountain 60 m hight with two 30 m hight traks.
The left track was made with topology resolution set to 10m,
and the right track was made with topology resolution set to 5m.
That seams me to give the same result !?!
This is certainly due to the fact my baseboard was created at a 5 m resolution ...
Happyly it is the case for my real Route !
The trackbed is 10 m width when the track is parallel to the grid ...
Is it possible to have best result ?
Bye,
Philippe

Philou1373, I certainly hope no one can access your H: drive to view the picture! You should upload it to Trainz Gallery and then copy that link and use the icon that looks like a picture to paste the link into.

Yes, this is a long-stanging issue. The best workaround for now is to use some sort of fill / wall / cliff spline under the track instead of using the smooth tool:

Sorry, I am beginer ... I don't know how to set a picture on Trainz Gallery ...
Any way, I'm not sure this will solve my problem ...
I'll continue to modify my groun along the track, meter after meter ... thinking to the workers who build this track at the 19th century !!!
I've "only" 50 km to do ...
Thanks !
