Coal Problems - Loading Cars/Wagons

I have spent some time with simple one track "loaders" and power plants "consumers. Right now I can not get a hopper to load coal. Older versions worked easily but product evolution changed the "ground rules".

First there are many definitions of coal. Some share the same simple name of just "coal". Hoppers need their own coal product setup. track sections need a setup and consumers need their setup. At times I have had no problem configuring these three in some manner and achieving success. However, right now with latest 2019/111951 software I can no longer get hoppers to load. With MANY definitions of coal all using the name Coal, posted problems with load/unload track sections, older assets allegedly not working, etc. the combination of these is a mystery. Oh, does track type have any influence? Wiki has 73 entries under "Load Coal".:eek:

Is there a working standard of track, car, engine, commodity, consumer, etc. that is a good model? Some very simple setup to allow my aged memory to rationalize the variables.

In my CM I see that there is only one 'Coal' listing, to me this is the standard. I have found that most assets that deal with coal, including locos and wagons, use this built-in asset.

If your assets use any of these types below, you might have to play around configuring them to work together, ie, add the specific type to the wagon so it will accept it;

Thanks for the info... I have been reading the messages on your coal management asset. Looks like you have covered all the bases. Will give it a try. Seems like a gold standard with no known quirks.- Thanks
 
I made variations of Felix_g's FG MovLoad Coal (5mph) and FG MovUnload Coal (10mph) replacing the 'Coal', <kuid2:44179:60013:4>, with lilb's series of coal commodities. All of them, except three pairs of MovLoad and MovUnload industries, worked correctly.
