Well lets see, which RR would you be running? Western Maryland or B&O (PRR, N&W, etc have some track but fairly little for running road trains)
For WM:
Alpha Jet between Connelsville-Hagerstown-Harrisburg/-Union Bridge-Port Covington (Hot shot TOFC train)
Stone trains between the quarry north of Hanover and Port Covington
Locals over each sub (Baltimore-Hagerstown, Hagerstown yard jobs, cumbo yard jobs, cumberland yard jobs, Connelsville yard jobs, Cumberland switcher doing jobs out to North Branch, Connelsville area switcher, etc.)
Coal between Elkins and Port Covington (came from the mines down there, needs lots of power of Blackwater grade)
N&W run throughs between Hagerstown and Connelsville. (N&W trains will come from the line that comes in from the south, runs into the yard at the south leg of the WM wye, not Vardo)
B&O anything works over the old main/Metropolitan/Cumberland/Pittsburgh subs.
If you are doing steam era everything in that era
if you are doing 60s-80s, TOFC, coal, mixed freights, autoracks (LOTS OF AUTORACKS) etc etc etc.
some coal branches and industrial parks are on all lines, so it is real fun to play with.
these arent official things but what ever, these are fairly realistic so have fun!!!
