Thinking about building a new PC sometime this year. This is 10th Gen Build Z490
About A$1300 without graphics card
Should I stick with something like this or go to a 11th Gen build Z590 ( adds about A$200 to the current price )
The rest I have 1200w PSU - HDD's etc

Mother Board MSI MAG Z490 TOMAHAWK

CPU Core i9 10900F ( don't need onboard graphics )

RAM G.Skill Trident Z Neo RGB F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC DDR4-3600 2x16GB

Cooling Deepcool GamerStorm Castle 360 RGB V2 CPU Liquid Cooler

Graphics Card RTX 3080 ( when ever they show up ) ( A$1600 and up )

Win 10 Home - Pro ( $170 - $220 )

Liquid coolers if they leak can be more trouble than they're worth.

Intel CPUs are built on 14 nm AMD on 7 nm so the AMD CPUs run a lot cooler to start. I think at the moment Intel is in trouble on the CPU front, the Ryzen 5000 series is probably where you should be today.

I assume you mean an RTX 3060 card?

I've been researching to order a new machine and from what I've seen there are some good deals on 10th gen i9's. (Stay away from the 11th Gen i9's btw, they are getting savaged ). One thing to consider is the NEXT 11th gen cpu's , Alder Lake are due later in the year, so that might drop 10th gen's even more.

The new i5's are getting good reviews but yes, they are a bit power hungry and run hotter, so a good cooling setup and power supply are a good idea. The 5600x is definitely worth looking at.
