Trainz closes at certain speeds when sound is on

My problem is simple yet very annoying. As the title implies, the game closes when i go around 57MPH but only if the sound is turned on. There is no error message or freeze, it just closes. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

This has been known to happen if the settings of your video display driver card is set at the very basic level.
I replaced the Video Card in my desktop to a top of the range NVIDIA High Definition and I have no problems with video or sound.

The issue is actually related to your sound drivers. There's an issue with the Open-AL driver spec which is incorrect in the actual document provided by the Open-AL group.

Ensure you are running the latest version since that is supposed to resolve this issue.

It doesn't look like this fixed the problem but just to be sure, how exactly do i update OpenAL? And what's the latest version?
