Anyone else have trouble with JR BN1 Track?

TRS2019 SP2. I was thinking about using JR BN1 track in a route <kuid2:506034:578258:3> JR BN 1. In the asset preview, it looks like this:



But when I try to lay it on the board, it turns into the three white examples below:

Go to the environment settings, and change the month to a summer month, and make sure the snow line is 2000.00 or more and it should show the summer version.

Ah. Of course. Thank you sir. The snow level is at 2000.00, so I changed the calendar to June and it cleared up. I don't think I will use it though, it will drive me crazy during layout when nothing else has snow, and it doesn't look like snowy tracks to me, it just looks like some sort of plasticine. This is a model railroad, so seasonal is not required. It is a shame though, as I wanted the light gray ballast. I will look for something similar for the yard. Either that or set your calendar to June or July. I do that anyway because I have enough winter in real life and it's not my favorite time of year.

Thanks John. I have a lot of those laid out, and I want to lay out those by Msgsapper and others as well. THe narrow ballast kind of annoy me because of the "undulating" way the ballast line seems to run. Is that prototypical somewhere?

I've seen ballast like that on branch lines. My preference lately has been the BN Forest series. I use the brown rusty track for yards and sidings that don't see a lot of traffic. I found a nice texture to match A5_3 or something like that. The Bob's track is nice as well.
