How to represent the transport of steel in the UK in earlier periods? Some internet research has failed to yield images, so the Request For Information.

Various coil products load, although only in singles (as above). The size of other commodities make them unsuitable for these older and smaller wagons. Rails, for instance-how were rails moved?

Thanks and regards,

Thank you sir, that works well. Rails, girders, etc.

Finding some more fits, like Wire coil. Did Steel Mills use NG 2ft for hot metal, etc.?

Have you tried Bogie Bolster SO Wagon and/or BR Bogie Dual Conflat, both of which can have varies loads added. Peter

Off to a good start here, thanks to the helpful suggestions. Using a clone of Driver_Col's Leeds to Sheffield route.
