TRS19, CMTM4, and Quick Portal Manager

I'm trying to use Quick Portal Manager (kuid ending in 53) with CMTM4. Every train generated by the portal cannot seem to be controlled (if it has an engine, it keeps driving), and I cannot click on the consist that has been generated.

I saw another thread that suggested using version 39 of QPM, but this didn't work either. My Trainz 19 build is 109641.

Has anyone else found a workaround for this issue?
