If you are running fullscreen, you can get to the Launcher by clicking on the three-bars located in the upper left corner.
At the Launcher, click on Show Logs.
If there's a lot of activity, as in lines moving up the screen, this means that the program is validating and caching content. When that runs, it'll take a bit of time before the menu appears as well as the same while in Surveyor. At this point, I would leave things alone and let it do its thing.
This process will kick in after an EDR because the content is being cached again after the process.
