Can you patch from Standard TRS19 up to the Platinum Edition?

There seem to be conflicting answers to this on the forum in the past. The question is: can you patch from basic TRS19 (build 100240) to build 105096 (SP1), and then to 105100 (Platinum Edition), taking your existing local data with you? Or is the Platinum Edition an entirely separate version which can't be reached by patching? Thanks for any help.

Its a separate install since its a different verison of a program. If you have Trainz +, you can update your existing SP1 install to Trainz + 3, which is what the PE version of TRS19 is.

If you don't and decide to go with the PE version, then all yo have to do is point it to your existing content and go from there.

There was a discount available for owners of TRS19. Check your myTrainz page to see if it still available. It made it about $34 I believe when I bought PE.
