Download vs. Download this version

u"Download" and "Download this version" are two options for getting content from the Download Station. What is the difference and which should I select under what circumstances?

"Download" will automatically download the newest version of the selected asset.

"Download This Version" will download the version you have selected, even if there's a newer one available. This is useful if you need an older version of an asset for compatibility purposes.

Ahh, so it would be more accurate and self explanatory if the options were:
Download latest version
Download this version

Thanks for the prompt reply!

Download will also cause the dependencies of the asset to download first, while Download this version will download the asset first, then it’s dependencies.

Download this version is great for routes. Download the route file first, stop the download when it has installed the route, I then go to view dependencies and download any 'available for download'. This way, only the current updated assets are downloaded, rather than getting old versions of assets already installed. It reduces the incidence of 'open for edit' assets to near zero.
cheers
Graeme
