ASB Naming and Merging

Hello,

Is there a way to retain the ASB settings through a merge. With the ATLS controller there is a naming convention and it survives a merge, but cant figure out how to make the ASB survive.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Can't speak directly to a merge, but I've found in porting a route and sessions from 12 into T:ANE that it's wise to check the settings and make sure everything is turned on.

To be fair, the only one that's had a problem is one where I reversed the main and secondary routes, which boat specifically warns against. Mea culpa.

With the newest assets, the Correctors may be found to be turned off. They are still needed if you start a session with a train in the plant.

:B~)

Hi Christopher,

No, neither ASB Crossover or ASB Turnout have the 'naming' facility to keep all settings. With ATLS, it's easy as you are only having to save various data settings. These can be encoded in the asset name.

The ASBs however, also have to remember all the assigned signals' names, (or in the new versions, all the signals' GameObjectIDs). The asset's name would be so long it would be a small book, so it wasn't possible.

In TRS19 however, you can save all settings in the Route layer which will then become available in all Sessions. If that helps.
