How to find the speed of tracks?

This is similar to my thread on finding signal number, but instead I am looking for the speed of tracks. Is there a site on finding speed of train tracks around the GTHA? I remember seeing one but it had no information around the GTHA. I have speed of tracks but they are from the 2000s and I have seen that now the speeds of some tracks have been upgraded, ex a once 35 MPH zone was upgraded to 65 MPH.

Check the latest timetables at www.niagararails.com

There are other sites that may have more current timetables.

If it's really current as in the last year or so the only way is to catch a speed sign in person or Google Earth. Find the nearest detector and check on the scanner what the speed of the train is also a good way of finding out. I think my timetables go a bit beyond 2000 but not too close to recent history. I believe I have an ETT of the area after GO service was introduced, but I'd have to check (which may take a while).

Thanks

Sean
