    Default RAR file

So i recently downloaded this file named JIRC-E7.rar and trainz keeps saying that is an unsupported file type. Its a pc only file and im looking to convert it to cdp but i can't find any results. All i found on the internet is just of what is it and how to open it and opening cdp files.

    Google “unrar”.
The CDP file is inside the RAR file.

7zip will extract .RAR files and is free.

I found a website where you can convert any file to cdp. The link is https://filext.com/file-extension/CDP

Not recommended. The file type name "CDP" is not specific to just N3V/Trainz and can be quite a different type of file as used by other software. From my reading of the information in the above site, the CDP they are referring to is NOT the CDP used by Trainz.

I second doing this unless you are experienced with downloaded .rar files. RAR files are the bad guys choice of hiding malware as many virus scanners have trouble peeking inside them to scan the contents.

If you're using a Mac, install the app "The Unarchiver" from the Mac App Store. That can uncompress RAR, ZIP, and other compressed files and give you access to the sweet, sweet CDP's inside.
