I think I am finished with the Cement Plant. added small parking lot for pickups and utility vehicles, added details to the loading/unloading ramp etc etc.... Hopefully I conveyed a "busy busy" industry at the start of the work day:

Just when I think I am finished....thought popped into my mind for a small siding to hold a locomotive for switching duties at the LaFarge Cement plant: Fits in rather nicely..............

Sometimes in surveyor I will just roam around to see what's out there. After completing the LaFarge Cement plant, I wanted to expand the road by the employee parking lot and find an area suitable for a limestone quarry that would supply the cement plant. I came across this area in the woods by accident. Maybe it was going to be an additional coal mine...you can see a small structure surrounded by a coal texture....

So what I did was change the coal texture to some limestone textures. Added a an unloading building and some custom signs and heavy equipment to complete the scene. The empty dump trucks head up a hill and at the top, load limestone to be taken down to the cement plant:

I like the fact that it makes the purpose for the cement plant and it is truck based not always a rail based industry....

Great work as always, RH. Every time I see a train, I marvel and wonder at who must spend their lives creating graffiti on the sides of trains. It must take immense amounts of time and a fortune in spray paint....

More updates coming your way.....finished adding some details on the new fuel distribution facility. Also decided to make a DOT area next it for ballast/gravel and supplies. Reskinned some dump trucks and a flatbed with "DOT" logos and added a diesel fuel receiving area at the LaFarge Cement plant........will probably be adding a fuel storage depot shortly as well somewhere on the route so deliveries can be made to the distributor and then taken to the cement plant....

The video with the added small fuel distributor to Peabody area as well as a DOT maintenace yard next to it. Includes the updated LaFarge Cement plant with animated limestone conveyor as well as a diesel fuel receiving area, added details to the LaFarge quarry unloader and access road, as seen in previous pictures.

Ops consist of a manifest freight from Richmond with diesel filled tankers at the end stopping just past of the LaFarge Cement plant before crossing the bridge and uncoupling the tankers prior to proceeding onto the town of Parker. Then the assigned loco at the LaFarge
Cement siding wll couple to the tankers and proceed to drop them off at the diesel fuel unloading area.

Sometimes I think I am done and then an idea hits me out of nowhere. i decided for the fuel depot to make the access road mainly one way as a loop and add the truck/rail loader. Now the roads of the depot make more sense, added more details, found a blinking "stop ahead" sign which is perfect for the truck loading...so with that said, I am now satisfied with the finished area..................
