Coal Country 2019 Updated .....

Although I have been taking up realestate with new industries, I still wanted to maintian the "rural" feel for the route. Background is important to me almost as much as once going on upfront. The petro industry has the large storage tanks in the back to give more depth. So after adding the current food processing industry, I felt the background seemed a little unfinished. I decided to retexture the area with crops, add a barn and silo plus a new farmhouse with garage. I think it the area looks complete now:

Background for the the food processing facility completed, added a couple patches of trees in the crop fields and added a schoolbus and framed the side of one field with more grass:

Food processing plant is now named, added an additional siding for corn syrup delivery for both truck and rail and it can be used for additional covered hopper storage when not in use:

Pardon my ignorance, but is this route and the one found here the same?

Well, yes it is Coal Country but if you follow this thread from the beginning, you can see all the changes I have made to the original versio not to mention the above before and after shots of Peabody, before being the original route from JointedRail and the after being what I have done as far as upgrading it.

Started some more detailing for the Cargill food processing plant; Added a small electric substation, graffiti, Cargill signs, dumpster, concrete barricades w/chevrons, safety markings, keep out signs, security guard and vehicle.....

And now the video drop:

Welcome to my Modified Coal Country route . Watch as a pair of SD60M Locos NS (Tricop version) #6810 and CSX #8768 pick up a cut of empty covered hoppers at the newly added Cargill food processing plant in Peabody. Taking them next to the expanded Mid-America grain elevator with 2 track loading capacity in Parker before heading back to the Parker yard.

Video opens up at new Cargill plant, behind it I completely retextured the grass area with farm crops and added a barn w/silo and farmhouse which completes the scene.

This is one of my most detailed industries on the route and is still a work in progress, also the new water textures I think have come out beyond my expectations....

Also I converted the Parker passenger station from passenger service into a small Amtrak MOW faciity.

Swapped the sides of the Mid America grain elevator so that it now offers 2 tracks for loading trains.

Time for some more vandalism...Growing up in the East and riding on either Amtrak or Septa, going through North Philadelphia, this was a very common site:

Time for another video drop !

Today we watch the Parker Yard area come to life with activity. First an Amtrak Track Geometry & Rail detection train pulled by P32-8BWH Loco #507 in phase V livery is on its way Richmond passes an empty tanker train heading through Parker in the opposite direction pulled by GMTX GP38-2 #2189 and GMTX SW1500 #224.Next a lumber bound train pulled by a patched CSX ex-CR SD40-2 #8852 heading to Peabody for local deliveries waits for a priority loaded Amtrak ballast train to pass with GP38-2 #722 in grey livery in lead on the way to Richmond. Finally the morning shift at Parker Tipple begins with GP60 EMD Demonstrator #7 and 3 CSX GP60S numbered 6899, 6898 and 6897 loading empty CSX and NS hoppers before heading to the Peabody mine for additional coal.

Sit back and enjoy the ride !!!

House on the hill, decided to add some minor details to this area. Leveled the ground so I could ad the parked Mercedes. Added a brick to the house and some flowers:
