Left hand turnouts

In building my route I have run into a problem with left-hand turnouts.

No matter how I build them TRS19 wants to make the diverging route the normal (default) path and the through route as the reverse (diverging) path. The problem is I need them in an interlocking and it confuses the signals.

Is there a way to construct those turnouts to make it so the through route is the default normal route and the diverging route the reverse route?

I also place track direction markers pointing towards trains, making trains avoid any undesired diverging tracks, or crossovers.

Laying the crossover the opposite direction is difficult when it's between tracks headed in opposite directions.

Will the track direction markers help with the signal issue?
