    Sound like you guys are talking something like the post below, a campfire grilled cheese maker. Grilled cheese is about the same, it just uses cheese between the slices of bread. Replace with egg and voila! Except none of them are round... I also see them called "Pie irons"

    .. never thought about searching with terms like "cast iron", while the attribute used by my parents was from (stainless) steel ... brought by my father when he came back from the united states, where he had a training for his career as a professional soldier with the dutch royal air force ..
    thankz to the link from hiballer and mentioning "dutch oven" by mikeaust i found an adres in the netherlands and ordered a "round pie iron" ...



    thankz wreeder for starting this thread : after 15 years wishing to make my child memory alive again, i found one after 15 minutes googling in my own neighborhood ...
