    Default Strange commodity

Is there any industry that uses this general goods commodity? kuid:124060:10001 It seems that many of the newer boxcars have this coded commodity and I can't use them for industries such as the pulp mill which used the original general goods asset

Click on the commodity in CM and list dependants to see what might use it.

I use General Goods using these industries:
    Factory 8 GenGoods 1942:27019:1
Bl General Goods Unload Dock 128094:27001:2

You need to keep Factory8 supplied with lumber from the Lumber Mill or someother source
and the Unload dock is just a piece of track but you can use other stuff to make it look more like a factory / warehouse.

    Hope this helps,
    Laurie

That asset doesn't exist, but in any case is obsoleted by <kuid2:124060:10001:6> General Goods which is built-in for TRS2019. If the asset dependency list is telling you that the traincars require <kuid:124060:10001> then that suggests that your obsoleting sequence isn't working for this asset. You can sometimes trick it into working properly by cloning <kuid:124060:10001> and upping the version to <kuid2:124060:10001:1>, or perhaps just downloading <kuid2:124060:10001:1> using the 'Download this version' option in CM.

Yes it is kuid2:124060:10001:6. What I'm saying is that there is no industries that use that certain commodity. the built in General goods is kuid:-25:1187. If i try to use that built in general goods in the boxcar this happens:

    https://imgur.com/a/DlE3qGK

Things like the 34ft boxcars by dap kuid:32711:100247 only use the kuid2:124060:10001:6 general goods, which is kind of frustrating because the factory 8 and pulp mill only produces the builtin kuid:-25:1187 commodity. The same goes for things like the container yard and seaport. They only consume the -25:1187 goods

That is correct for <kuid:-25:1187>. If there is not some error in the obsoleting chain then there is nothing to fix. Industries that don't use <kuid2:124060:10001:6> will not load those boxcars. That is the case for any commodity - the commodity specified for the traincar must match the commodity specified for the industry. If you change the commodity used for a traincar then it will likely look incorrect.

Or are you saying that you would like to modify the traincars to use <kuid:-25:1187> differently - for instance only two layers high?

    Default #DLSBroken

    The three from gawpo50
    <kuid2:453099:100678:4> C&O Freight House
    <kuid:453099:101077> FFR Agri Supplies
<kuid:453099:101219> Goodwin Kincaid Building - Thurmond
are payware from his C&O Hinton Division Route

    The three from pencil42
    <kuid2:124060:28020:1> Dock (Transfer)
    <kuid2:124060:28045:1> Lumber Transfer Platform
The two above should be on the DLS but are not. #DLSBroken
<kuid2:124060:28003:2> Virginia City Freight Depot - I'm not sure where this came from, possibly a Beta test asset.

These two are also on the DLS Edit: should be on the DLS but are not. #DLSBroken
    <kuid2:371339:27002:1> Acme (Dist)
<kuid:242091:27037> Old West Goods Shed (stone)

My poorly scripted <kuid:633834:100676> Generic Freight platform (tiny) is also on the DLS but I really didn't know what I was doing so it may or may not work for you.

I also have these industry tracks on the DLS
    <kuid2:633834:101087:2> BI2 Sugar Industry
    <kuid2:633834:101094:1> BI2 Sugar Industry Short
which may load and unload the <kuid2:124060:10001:6> General Goods

    Have fun

Edit: Huh, well... TRS19 Content Manager can't find most of these and they are not turning up on the white pages either... Huh I swear I got them off the DLS... Huh?

For pencil42's stuff go here http://www.carsoncarshops.com/downloads.htm

Edit: I forgot pencil42 moved all his stuff to the DLS so you probably can't get any of it while the DLS is broken. sorry. #DLSBroken

Edit: OK the DLS is not broken, it just doesn't work very well. You will need to select all the check boxes on the left side of the white pages DLS (link at top of this page) then the two assets by pencil42 and the other two will show up.
Used to be that if you entered the kuid in the Content Manager it could find these things but I guess they fixed it.

<kuid2:67794:38005:1> Narrow Gauge WareHouse was part of a nifty set of narrow gauge industries but I'm not sure where you can find the set now.

A google search says that its on TPR but it looks like the download area is down. Has it been down for a while?

If I knew how to do it, I would love to change some of the OG industries like the pulp mill to Pencil's General goods because they look more appropriate

Sadly TPR has been gone about 6 or 8 months now. I don't know if Robinhood is in a position to bring it back up, or he's chocking it up as a loss.

That is sad. I wonder if he saved all the content.
