Automobile rail trainsport in Germany era III question.

Hi
I have found scant information on how VW transported its autos in the English language in its early days, (1946 to 1960). It appears that the OFF 52 aka LAAE) was used from 1960 to about 1965 when the OFF 59 started being used.
What railway wagon was used to move VW's from the factory to the seaport and other areas prior to 1960??
Thank you in advance,
Whecsailorjr

In the 1950s and 1960s, various types of wagons were used to transport cars in Germany and Europe.
In the DB, the Xflmmr were used. I have a model on my website although it should be repainted from DR to DB.

Folding side platforms were also used, in some cases used only to transport cars and with their sides permanently lowered, it is possible to identify them because the wagon lettering is on those lowered sides.
