Content has become "Installed, Payware (Not Active)"

Sometime last Saturday, some of my payware content had suddenly become marked in the red. Them being the NKP/Pere Marquette Berkshires and the Settle and Carlisle routes. And when i went to check out what was wrong, a majority of them were uninstalled and had the status of "Installed, Payware (Not Active)". I've tried going on the discussion board on Steam and on Trainz Portal, tried rebuilding the database several times, tried resubmitting my Trainz username and password; all with zero results. I wanted to see if anyone had any solutions.

I recall a similar discussion here only a day or so ago, you might search for that and see what they said. If I find it, I'll let you know.

Can you also please confirm for me if the DLC packs were purchased through Steam, or through the Trainz Store?

The standard fix for this is to uninstall the DLC packages, do a database repair, re-install and if needed do another database repair.

There use to be a interface for doing this but it looks like both TANE SP4 and TRS19 removed it for some reason. So you will have to search the "packages" folder for files beginning with SC118 and SC379. There will be several files beginning with those letters and numbers. Copy all the files to a new location outside the Trainz folders and delete the ones in the packages folder. Do a database repair, quit trainz and copy them back to the original location and do another database repair. That should fix it.

I do indeed have the Steam edition of Trainz and I have purchased DLC through Steam as well.

Can you also please try following these steps:


1) Double click on the Trainz icon on your desktop, or click on 'Play' for TRS19 in Steam
2) Click on Trainz Settings, then untick the option for 'fullscreen' (leave unticked if it is already unticked)
3) Close the Trainz Settings window
4) Click on 'Developer' at the top of the launch window for Trainz, then click on 'clear logs'
5) Click on 'Developer' again, and then click on 'Show Logs'
6) Click on 'File' at the top of the launcher screen, then click on 'download purchased items'
7) Click on Start Trainz
8) Once Trainz has loaded into the 'main menu' screen, go to the 'logs' window
9) Press CTRL + A to select all
10) Press CTRL + C to copy
11) Now start a reply to this thread (or submit via a ticket on the helpdesk at http://support.trainzportal.com/ ), and paste the copied text into the message box.


If you wish to return Trainz to fullscreen mode, you can do so by repeating steps 1-3 again, but tick the box for fullscreen.

Also hears the weird thing, the dlc content that went bad wasn't purchased after I bought the game, but was already in TRS2019 from the start. So even though I am able to play that content, the dlc won't show as purchased on steam. For example, the amtrak p42 came with the game upon installation even I haven't purchased the DLC for it

The listing of the items indicates that you do have access to those resources. Could you advise a couple of routes that are in the list and still show as not active.

PL Warehouse, PL Coal, Logs Stack 4.2m Long, Z Ground Leaves 1, Z Rock 13, are payware not active in my version of TRS19

I found that if you installed a DLC route and all its assets and later deleted the route from CM the other assets installed will become payware installed not active unless another DLC route has installed and uses them. When I put the DLC route back in they all became installed payware. Check the dependants of the not active asset to see which route they belong with.

I didn't even delete any DLC routes
I only have the default ones installed (for TRS19 SP1)

- When I install SD80MAC Pack "simc:tdd067" I get the often received "failed to install preached data" error on install but unlike most other times (the install is good) the three loco's show in Content Manager as FAULTY "Payware, Not Active"

Other "simc" items do the same.
