Can't drive a train on new creation. [solved]

I'm sure this is something very simple, but since I am a new person using trainz, I must be doing something that I don't understand.

I created a simple layout, an oval type and wanted to drive a train, but the locomotive doesn't show up when I select the layout with the driver?

Does this have something to do with creating a new session for that particular layout?

When starting the driver, I selected a locomotive and would have been happy just driving that around the layout to test it.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm sure this is very simple for all of you but I can't see the way to get the locomotive out on the track when I drive.

After you placed the loco on the track, did you save the route? If so, then you need to double click on the name of the route (in Surveyor) and then click on Quick Drive.

Thanks guys. I was saving the route and overwriting the previous one. I saved under a unique name that was easy to find and bingo! It worked.
