Navigation issues

I am looking for help to setup an easy navigation in a map. Let's start with how Transport Fever 1 and 2 do navigation: hold mouse right button to move forward or backward, hold center button to rotate left or right and up or down. It is so easy to move around the map. I have a hard time to move in TANE, the maps rotates out of control if I try to move forward, moving backwards is almost impossible, rotate must use the arrow keys, very unfriendly in my opinion. What is the correct setup to have a decent navigation? thanks

Right click mouse button, but do not hold it down. Just multiple clicks.

In game go to:

Main menu -> Settings -> Interface Settings, and shift "Camera behavior" to Panning

And lower the compass speed until you regain control.
