Turnout Tool

I have uploaded to the DLS a turnout tool <kuid2:356033:21152:1> that I use to check my turnouts. I am sure there are several other tools out there that many of you use to do the same. I hope some of you evaluate what I have submitted and possibly suggest other tools that do the same. I look forward to your comments.

All turnouts are not the same radius. Some are 385 foot long (or even longer) in a high speed mainline crossover (measured on Google Earth/ruler), while industrial spurs, small tight yard, and trolley line turnouts may be much shorter, and tighter radius.

I might suggest adding instructions and frog numbers up to 12, otherwise looks functional with my limited testing.
I normally use Andi06's JK series of switches as templates for laying out yards and terminals, however I am sometimes frustrated by the lack of flexibility in angles. In light of this I might also suggest you look at the geometry diagrams for Andi06's "Junction Kit" switches as that may help you build a better tool/s. Thanks Didrik, it looks very interesting. I'll play around with it a bit. Can I assume it imports into TRS19 without a problem? I see it is marked for TS12 so that is where I tried it.

I believe I've already come across it.Like MP242 stated, I've not seen a "standard" turnout. My typical formula is a 10:1 offset. I also came up with a 3:7 ratio for turning 45º.

It does import into TRS19 with no problem. After all, it is a structure.
