Scotland, 1899

The North British Railway (NBR) operated in Scotland from 1844 and was grouped into the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) (one of the big 4) in 1923. From the dress, the scene has to be set in the 19th century and the the Class J36 0-6-0 locomotive, NBR No. 723 was built in 1897. So let's say 1899.
Surprisingly (for me) https://railuk.info/steam/getsteam.php?row_id=18534 also says that the LNER No. was "applied Feb 1925 at Inverurie", which is where my mother grew up. I didn't know it was a railway town. I'll have to research that!

A bit of British nostalgia..
I have made a model railway layout based on a Cyril Freezer track plan and have tried to keep it looking like a model!
Unfortunately I can't stop locos from steaming :)
