Here is my fantasy train and fantasy road.

There has never been rolling stock in chartreuse as far as I know. What do you think?

Chartreuse looks cool, it's highly visible for safety at grade crossings and it's quite original for railroading.

The locos I envision for Redwood Empire RR:

d/e by General Motors/EMD:

-SD40T-2
-GP38
-F7 A and B
-SW-1500
-a Geep or two

-Baldwin Consolidation
-custom-built standard gauge mallet 2-6-6-2 based upon those built by Baldwin in narrow gauge

-steam engines for my line would burn a clean and green fuel such as propane or natural gas:
no billowing clouds of black smoke in Bigfoot Country

-Aluminum Budd and Pullman cars, the models of the Santa Fe El Capitan and Superchief for the F7's to pull
-Pullman heavyweights for the GP38s and steam engines to pull

-open-sided observation cars from converted gondolas on tour/excursion trains

-a bay window caboose for freight trains

all in chartreuse livery except steam locos would be black with perhaps chartreuse letters, numbers and trim

My railroad would be highly safety conscious and friendly toward people and its communities served in it's demeanor.
It would treat it's employees very well. Passenger trains would be dog friendly. It would have a sharp clean image in the public eye.
Yard bulls with clubs would never be tolerated. Graffiti on my rolling stock would be a no-no. I would be the ultimate model
for ethical rail transportation in America.

ALCO and GE locomotives aren't my bag.
Only Baldwin and General Motors for me.
