A little guidance from the experts please.
Am in the process of putting together a representation of the one-time railways of East Fife and have used TransDEM (64 bit), version 2.6.4.1, to produce three separate modules. A small area of overlap was created where each of the three modules adjoin and a session (just a relatively short length of track) has been created within each module “Default” file. Each of these Session layers has then been merged into its respective Route layer. My aim is now to merge, one at a time, these three modules into one main route.
Pages 73/74 of the TransDEM Trainz Edition Manual, while explicit, appear to be somewhat brief, hence my concern. I can’t quite believe that it’s that simple. Reference is also made to TransDem-UTM and TransDEM-Vector layers appearing in all modules (they do in mine, along with the route and session layers). The instruction is to “combine them and retain the names”. Is this all covered by one blanket press of a button or is there a whole raft of other additional actions to be taken?
