I need to take control!

A question for the experienced driver (more than one hour).
I made a straightforward session to get the feel of the new driver interface, all well so far.
I transfered a multi - industry route from Tane and am now baffled as to how to take control of a consist when it loses its way and blocks traffic, simple in previous versions and of course it may be in trs19 so some guidance is required.
Also I see no sign of miles covered which is a good guide as to how successful the AI has been.
Can someone clear the fog please?

Figured it out by creating a test track and introducing a hazard, what was missing was the driver controls - small buttons to the right.
Perhaps should have read the instructions.

You are not alone in that. Those three small buttons have bamboozled many users and, in my opinion, represent the only negative point of the new TRS19 Driver interface compared to earlier Trainz releases.
