Do portals work with driveable ships?

I would like to be able to have ships sailing along the long coastline on my Norfolk layout and I was wondering if it was possible to have these introduced to my layout via portal and have them exit the layout via a portal. I'm using Steve Flander's driveable trading schooner models that have the invisible track at water level.

Yes they do. I have two ships that are consumed here and re-appear there. Use as any other consist.
