Warning message on trainz, performance issues?

Hi all, once more with what I feel must be dumb questions, but you guys have been so helpfull always... There is a warning sign in the Launcher that says that one or more developer settings are active which may negatively impact gameplay... My son and I had been trying to fix lagging issues with the game and moved some settings around and now we are kind of lost. Main issue is that he has several assets that he likes to use, and they don't have their face anymore (yes, Thomas the Tank engine characters) Wondering if someone has some feedback about this... thanks!

A very low end laptop, that does not have an actual video card, may require that all performance sliders be set to absolute minimum (which may result in displaying low detail, not displaying "faces", on trains that have actual cheeky faces) :hehe:

It definitely sounds like you have changed or enabled one or more of the 'developer' settings in the Trainz Settings. You can reset these settings by following these steps:

1) Double click on the TRS19 icon on your desktop
2) Click on Trainz Settings
3) Click on the 'Dev' tab in the Trainz Settings
4) Set these options as follows:
Time scaling: 100%
Debug render: None
Compatibility mode: Maximise compatibility
Enable advanced debug tools: unticked
Show script exception notifications: unticked
Log script output: unticked
Log script message handling: unticked
