Trainz Plus "Release Candidate" 103250 (PC) and 103249 (Mac) are now available

We've released the following patches:
* From 103221 to 103250 for PC users (20 MB)
* From 103219 to 103249 for Mac users (20 MB)
Patches are found using the Trainz Plus Beta stream.
Ensure that your current build number matches one of the options above.

Please note, we're currently short-staffed for the next week / 2 weeks and apoligise in advance if you encounter any problems. As always you should post back on this thread and we'll address any concerns asap.

The changelist for this build is as follows:

* Train tab tools (including property editing) will no longer flag the route as requiring resave, even if the train/vehicle in question is in a route layer.
* When loading directly into Surveyor, the game now starts Paused and must be manually unpaused after entering Driver.
* When saving a session, the system-provided default name now includes a timestamp and playtime, similar to the old save-game naming. Note that this doesn't change WHETHER the game will save a new session or overwrite the existing session, only the name if saving a new session.
* The main menu's asset listing screen now correctly shows the left detail panel when returning from gameplay.

Build 103250 (PC)

* Train tab tools (including property editing) will no longer flag the route as requiring resave, even if the train/vehicle in question is in a route layer. >> works
* The main menu's asset listing screen now correctly shows the left detail panel when returning from gameplay. >> works

• With the old system, each saved game had its own snapshot as thumbnail which helped a lot to know where the save was made, now all have the same one as the session, this is very impractical.
• Hitting the escape key makes the game pause but it unpauses as soon as "Save" button is clicked and the train goes running until the saving procedure is completed.
• Wouldn't it be better to have "Create a new session" as default option instead of "Overwrite existing session"? It would avoid fatal mistakes...
• The extended view of "My Collection" is unusable: screen filled with flashing thumbnails alternately black or white. If you're epileptic, you're dead!
• An option to disable driver portrait in the HUD would be great!

• Ctrl = and Ctrl + still not working
• Ctrl N still working randomly (most of time it works only in the very first minutes of driving a train, but sometimes not at all from the beginning)
• Camera glitch when resuming a saved session still present
• Camera issue after exiting tunnels persists

Build 103219/103249 (Mac) - Line Side view in Driver still work-in-progress? I get Chase view when I try it.

Download and install went smoothly. The changelist items work as advertised. I like the change that when loading into Surveyor that the default is "Pause".

This is an old issue that cropped up again.

We have enthusiastically coupling wagons.

Coupling slowly...

The locomotive coupling to a freight wagon causes the wagon to jump forward to couple to the locomotive instead of sitting their passively and letting the couplers do the work.

The enthusiastic coupling is like a small puppy so happy at seeing it's owner that it leaps into the owner's arms.

Works fine for me, tested in KSC2. I suspect this just means that you haven't got any lineside cameras configured in the route that you're testing on?

Unassigning a user from a consist in driver:

After unassigning a user from a consist, one can't reassign the user to the consist again.

Hi John
I have tried reproducing this here, and could not reproduce this.

However if the train is still moving when you unassign and reassign the train to the user, you will need to wait for the train to come to a complete stop before you regain control of the train. Could you confirm if this is what you are seeing?

Regards

Thanks for checking. Will do test again.

Well we thought we could get off this hook easy. (pun intended).

There's an issue with decoupling wagons while in Surveyor mode.

The decoupler tool is "sticky" and remains enabled after the wagons have been decoupled even though it doesn't appear to be enabled. All is fine until a single consist is decoupled then the couplers remain enabled in red when any consist is selected and white when not.

Decoupling in Driver is fine except for the jumpy wagons that affects "some" wagons and I need to investigate this a bit more.

I have a lengthy - 5.4 GB video I can upload to my One Drive if necessary.

I now have 9 saved sessions in a route, which in fact are saved games, all with the same thumbnail. It's a real mess to know which is what without resuming! Icing on the cake, they are mingled with real sessions while before saved games were listed separately each of them with its own snapshot.

Hi all,

Just a few queries on reported issues:

* "Ctrl N still working randomly (most of time it works only in the very first minutes of driving a train, but sometimes not at all from the beginning)" - We haven't seen any problems with this. Can you clarify how you're testing this, and what goes wrong? Is it the ability to toggle the names that breaks, or is it that you have the names on and they stop showing on the screen? If the latter, do they all stop at once or do you slowly lose names over time?

* "Camera glitch when resuming a saved session still present" - We're not familiar with this one. Could you provide some more detail on what you're seeing?

* "
None of the 50 "(TS12)" assets have been built-in to the latest build and they are not available from the DLS." - These don't appear to have ever been built-in for TRS19, but they ARE present on the DLS. We suspect that you might have been using DLC in your TRS19 build that you haven't installed in your beta build. If you're not seeing items from the DLS, then try a database repair on your beta build. I see the following on the DLS: <kuid:565830:100111>,<kuid:565830:100156>,<kuid:565830:100132>,<kuid2:565830:100212:1>,<kuid:565830:100012>,<kuid:565830:100124>,<kuid2:565830:100218:1>,<kuid:565830:110014>,<kuid:565830:100158>,<kuid:565830:100120>,<kuid:565830:110016>,<kuid:565830:100160>,<kuid:276266:100101>,<kuid:565830:100229>,<kuid:565830:100165>,<kuid:565830:100151>,<kuid:565830:100144>,<kuid:565830:100149>,<kuid:565830:100146>,<kuid:565830:100142>,<kuid:565830:110020>,<kuid:565830:100228>,<kuid:565830:100102>,<kuid:565830:100230>,<kuid:276266:100103>,<kuid:565830:100231>,<kuid:565830:100006>,<kuid:565830:100134>,<kuid:315525:100006>,<kuid:276266:100134>,<kuid:458053:102090>,<kuid:276266:100135>,<kuid:315525:100005>,<kuid:565830:110018>,<kuid:565830:110011>,<kuid:565830:110013>,<kuid:565830:110009>,<kuid:565830:100031>,<kuid:565830:110015>,<kuid:565830:100097>,<kuid:565830:110017>,<kuid:565830:100128>,<kuid:565830:100191>,<kuid:565830:100040>,<kuid:565830:100104>,<kuid:565830:100113>,<kuid:565830:110019>,<kuid:565830:100137>,<kuid:565830:100130>

When using the camera in 'Walk' mode......arrow keys do not work. It's like the camera is attached to an object. Other camera modes appear to work fine.

Thanks. Known issue; fixed internally. It's because you have pause enabled. You'll find one or two other cameras have similar types of issues.

I was just going to report that camera issue. Thanks Peter for finding that and thanks Chris for fixing it. :)

I did get one of these tonight:

attachment.php

It says:
AnimationResource::LoadAnimationResource> loading animation on time-critical thread

0000000140041889: ovr_GetLoggedInUserID
000000014061D40C: ODDLParser::DLLNode::getType.

followed by lots more hex numbers without any text.

I was placing a catenary spline. There was nothing in that area, that I am aware of, that had some kind of animated object(s).

1 • In Driver, and it is the ability. Ctrl N (or clicking the option) works, next time I try it doesn't (and once it doesn't it won't anymore during the session). Sometimes names are displayed for some rolling stock and not another one e.g. on a side track. Screenshot here (post #68): https://forums.auran.com/trainz/sho...nz-Plus-Update-102894-Ready-for-testing/page5

2 • Explained here with screenshots (post #46, section 6): https://forums.auran.com/trainz/sho...nz-Plus-Update-102894-Ready-for-testing/page4

Thanks. Not enough data there to be sure of a repro, but at least we know what to look out for now. Appreciate the feedback.
