Default Driving engines Trainz 19 Assertion 101618

Following a long stay in hospital and a bit of encephalitis I am using Trainz as an aid to recovery. I can now concentrate for up to 2 hours per session - not bad when I started at 15 minutes.

My real problem is memory and working my way round instructions and technical information.

I have been building new layouts quite well at the moment but what I simply can't do is drive engines. Can someone please give me the instructions for this and , if possible, a link to the written instructions in Trainz.
I find myself crying withe frustration of not being able to do ths because my brain is just a bit out of focus with the encephalitis.

    Many, many thanks

The in-game help '?' gives links to appropriate help documentation on the wiki.

Here are a couple of places to start:
    http://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/i...S2019_Surveyor

    http://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/i...RS19_Driver_UI

If you get an assertion message which pauses the game, then just click continue.
