European Model Railway Club Route a WIP by Euromodeller

Bit late to the party on this one, but the layout looks superb. That helix is particularly impressive!

Well February has been and gone, no progress due to Norovirus (not Coronavirus) and a wrist injury caused by too much mouse use! (CTS)
I also lost my Trainz mojo for a while, but that has returned!

I'll get some more work done here ASAP, but use of my mouse hand is retricted to a few hours a day instead of my usual 16-20

I have good news and bad news.

First the bad news, I've removed the 2 helix in post #20.

Now for the good news......

A 4-track oval helix with contra-rotating tracks has replaced them!

1 track left rotating downwards
1 track left rotating upwards
1 track right rotating downwards
1 track right rotating upwards.

Making it oval has enabled me to lessen the gradient.
It's fully signalled and allows a lot of trains on it at the same time.

There's nothing like a good challenge to keep the Imagineer going :D

Pics time....

INCREDIBLE!!!:Y::Y:
You’re certainly a knack in this as an imagineer craze I suppose.
C’mon, spill the beans out I am looking forward towards using your spirals when this is released.

I'm clueless when it comes to model railways but that is one impressive feat

Don't rush your healing, but yes, this will be absolutely awesome when it is completed. I saw your helixes on the DLS, that is an outstanding contribution!

That is absolutely insane Graham. If I attempted something like that my brain would blue screen and fall over.

The secret to building insane objects is....to be a bit insane oneself and rise to a challenge :hehe:

Talking of a challenge, someone on another forum said to me that trying to reskin a 5 car E.M.U. that was made with .trainzmesh and not with .im was not posible because there was no mesh viewer available!
There's now 3 on the DLS (insert smug smiley here).

Annie, I've not forgotten Madder Valley, it's on hold, I'll get going on it again when I am in the right frame of mind for it.
I miss the PMs from 'teddy' with advice and info, sigh.

cheers,

Graham
