Look for houses by beamsun on the DLS and in CM, plus, I have another batch finished that will be available "within 24 hours", I'll put details of them in my Freeware thread when they are available.

I've been working on this route today due to the rekindled interest shown

Is anybody still curious as to what is in the two pixelated areas?

I will reveal what's in there tomorrow.
I have made a video of a test run where you can see this feature in action

I am waiting for the video upload to YouTube to complete, it still has 1 hour to go, it's only a 15 minute video!
When it's done I will be heading to bed.

First time I've made a video and uploaded it, lots of trial and error to get a suitable one made.

Well the video was OK on my PC, but on upload to YouTube the visual quality was poor. I'll make a new one as soon as I can.

As promised, I will now reveal what is in the Large Pixel area .......

and this is what is in the Railfan Viewpoint.....

The video will show them in action.

I made a video, I recorded it in HD (1080p60) but the quality on youtube is crap!

The video is unedited and a bit rough in places.

Still, it gives you a view of just one route on the layout and the Helix in operation.

Those helixes are a masterpiece of Trainz engineering! The lighting threw me a little after the first tunnel until I realized it was lit walls and ceiling intersecting with shaded walls. Is that an artifact of T:ANE lighting? This is an extremely exiting project Graham! I was glued to the video all the way through!

    Hello Graham

Don't you worry about the video quality, the trip is brilliant and the helix are amazing.

Thanks you for your hard work, the model layout is a masterpiece.

    Best regards

    Euromodeller,
Amazing! I'm with Manweb on this - there is nothing wrong with the video. It gives a wonderful view of the route and the stunning helixes. This is truly a masterpiece. I don't know how you managed to keep from going crazy creating all those helixes. And a double-decker one as well. Very nicely done!

Heinrich, I didn't go crazy because I am already crazy

I also am making individual modules with just the helix on, single track, double track, narrow gauge, all will be on release 'soon'
The idea is that you can add them to a route and use copy and paste to locate them on your own route, it works, that's what I did on this route.

I am new to YouTube video making and have found out that when first uploaded the resolution is Standard Definition, after a while it matures into High Definition.

Thank you all for your kind comments.

You should see what other models are in the pipeline for you!

I've fixed the tunnel issue, the problem is that you can't punch a hole in a wall spline so I've devised a better solution to disguise it.

Work has been progressing at a good rate.
The builders and decorators have been and gone and their work has made a huge difference at the East Yard/Club Room.

First image shows the old Large Pixel area as it is today, now open-plan with spectator viewpoint....

Next image shows the West Yard and now open-plan club room.

    New HD walls addded too!

Now we move east to the Railfan area, new floor and new layout surface for the yard on the shelf.

Now to the main layout area where the High Line has received a new retaining wall/trackbed with some scenics added.

(Wall available in the new year)

The Low Line is now 4-track with an extra tunnel, the left lines feed the Hauptbahnhof Terminus, the right lines are through lines.

On the opposite side of the room I have installed 2 new bridges/viaducts. (Second and third - available in the new year)

A new station and town buildings at Vierbruecken.

Finally for today, a new Hauptbahnhof Station Building

    That's it, more next year,

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

    Cheers,

    EM

If one makes an even larger radius spiral helix you can achive an even greater height, or place several turnouts on each spiral helix curve and achieve many varied heights from each loop, or use Portals
My apologies to all. I have decided that in these horrible current events, we all need to stick together as a Community
