Well another week gone by.

Well another week gone by and no mention of what's going on for the update for 2019. Come on, could at least mention if your getting close or a projection of how long until you think you mite be there. At least let us know if your working on it.

It is something of a dilemma.

Would a report along the lines of "We are still here and working on it" with nothing else be sufficient? Probably not. It seems that some users (not referring to your good self) lack patience and want exact details - release dates (preferably the exact hour) and complete lists of improvements and fixes. The lessons learnt from the initial release of TANE (remember that fiasco) should have been enough warning of the folly of that approach - how easily we forget.

Software development is, at best, more of an uncertain art than an exact science.

Do we want the team at N3V spending their time on regular news releases or working on solving problems?

Weeks will always go by!

"Rock | N3V | Hardplace"

People complain when we say "we're working on it" and complain when we say nothing :D

The past week has been a lot of very boring, non-user-facing under-the-hood build process fixes.

Good news is we've also identified and fixed a couple of crash bugs. There should hopefully be some good news in the week to come.

Good one, Tony. Thank you!
Some of us appreciate the hard work put in by you and the entire N3V team.
'Patience is a virtue' after all is said and done...

I like this >> "Rock | N3V | Hardplace"
Whilst we all get frustrated with things, life, Trainz, whatever - me included, I think that's probably the best answer that could have been given.

"Rock | N3V | Hardplace"

"Rock" knows exactly what "Hardplace" is upto because "Hardplace" is in regularly contact with "Rock" and tell's him what he's upto. Because "Rock" is so well informed, he's able to communicate well with "Hardplace," so hardplace is always upto date with the state of play.

Now if we could only get N3V to sit down with "Rock" & "Hardplace" and all three communicate regularly, we'll all be keeped upto date with the state of play!!! :hehe:

(Keep up the good work Tony & team)...

Cheers, Mac...

N 3 V has to make money. It balances the pleasures of users (purchasing addons) to new customers purchasing the base product. Fortunately, despite trying to turn the simulator into a game, the improvements have energized the existing customers who are a more critical crowd. So today we have simulator with ever increasing graphics improvements for gamers to technical improvements for controlling the graphically realistic sets of pixels. Despite some lulls, it is an evolving product, mostly in a direction that satisfies most customers.
